Our Team

Stephen South

I'm a tech entrepreneur, best selling author and philanthropist. I was very blessed to grow up in Cape Town and fully experience all the greatness and challenges South Africa has to offer. My core passion is giving back by sharing the valuable skills I have been fortunate enough to learn, which have allowed me to live the life I do today. Spending time with children and seeing them flourish and joyful truly warms my heart. As President of Hopeseed my mission is to formulate an incredibly awesome team and network in order to make a massive impact to our fellow humans in need

It is time to cultivate and grow our emotional skills so we can connect in more meaningful ways. I am here, this is my work, this is what I love. I am committed to being part of the change I would like to see in South Africa. I believe we do better together.

I am an enthusiastic education consultant that loves initiatives which promote upliftment and wellbeing. This awareness deepened in me when I was in Vietnam working closely with NGOs. I feel thrilled to be part of a team which shares the same vision going forward.

Currently, I find myself working as Academic Mentor for the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education interwoven with completing my Master's Degree in International Education via the University of Dundee. Akin to the late Nelson Mandela, I believe education to be the most powerful weapon to change the world. Education has taken me from South Africa to as far afield as South Korea, Vietnam and currently the Middle East. I have had the privilege of volunteering with various initiatives and organisations all over the world, most notably in the Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal and Turkey. I know and trust in our ability as people to heal and grow.

This is especially true for me with children. I choose to be an important part of making children's environment safe, stable and empowering. I want children to feel they are cared for and loved. From this place of safety they can spread their wings and fly.

I am an entrepreneur at heart and have a deep relationship with God. I am passionate about supporting people in South Africa to improve their lives. Part of this has been to set up systems to purify water to ensure that people in disadvantaged villages in South Africa have drinkable water, we are hoping to expand this into other African countries. I am being strongly called to work with orphanages in within the Johannesburg Townships supporting both the children and the care givers.Over the years I have been blessed and exposed to a vast network of high profile contacts, which I plan to leverage for the greater good of Hopeseed Foundation. I truly believe God always leads me in the right direction to fulfill my life purpose

I grew up by the ocean in southern California spending my days swimming and running under the sun.  I was separated from my mother when I was very young and grew to understand the impact that trauma, and the lack of nurturing and care has on a child.  I made a decision when I was thirteen years old that I was going to be a person children could count on by helping them heal and grow.  I feel so humbled and excited to be a part of a team that is building a community worldwide.  A community with the wisdom and dedication to transform how we support people to develop the skills they need to thrive in the world.  With my background in event management and my love for children, I will contribute to the nurturing of hope and care for at-risk and vulnerable children.  I want to bring friends and families together with an understanding and commitment of how we share more kindness and love with the world and those in it.

I see our planet and all the people who live on it as a single organism. I have a passion for using technology to find solutions. If I had to label myself it would be as an entrepreneur and an environmentalist. I try not to. From campaigning to allow kids to play repetitive beat music in Thatchers England to organizing a biofuel fueled recovery effort after Hurricane Katrina in the USA I have tried to right wrongs and lend my support to those who need it the most. I'm most at peace after a physically exhausting day, preferably outdoors, with my family and friends around me. I'm the co-owner and COO of Source Coders, a California based tech recruiting agency and part-time soccer, baseball and cricket coach when I'm not playing.

I am a transformational teacher and results coach who empowers people to move past their limitations and embrace the life they were meant to live. I'm a dynamic speaker, author, and healer whose work combines the world of business with the deeper wisdom of the mind and body.

All my teachings are based on real world experience, using the same proven principles that have been getting my clients results for years.

My greatest passion is to help people be happier, take control of their life and get clear on what they really want. All I want to do is make a difference in this world!

I run my own company called Global Digital Footprints, a full-service consulting organization specializing in digital branding & social media.

Prior to starting my own business, I served as President of Helloworld Travel Services, running the America’s operations for Qantas Vacations, Insider Journeys, Travel2 and Islands in the Sun. This role is where I got involved with philanthropy. I was lucky enough to set up a program called 'Travel2 Cares' which raised much needed goods for underprivileged children in the villages of Fiji. This taste led me to working with non-profits and eventually Hopeseed Foundation.

Helping children from all parts of the world is something which I firmly believe in. They are our future leaders and we must do everything we can to make sure they have a fighting chance. At Hopeseed, I know we can make a difference to these kids and with your help, lead them to better lives.
